Laborers’ CARE (Crisis Assistance Response to Emergencies) relies on the goodwill of individuals through voluntary donations and an annual motorcycle rally to raise funds as a means to fulfill its mission. This charitable fund was created to assist members in the Region who have been seriously injured on the job and are unable to work, or in the most unfortunate circumstance, lose their lives while working as Laborers. Laborers’ CARE offers immediate financial support to ensure an individual’s short term obligations are met - such as rent, groceries, or children’s needs. It is the goal of Laborers’ CARE to assist Laborers’ families through the most difficult times.

The Ohio Valley and Southern States Region hosted its 7th Annual Great Smoky Mountain Motorcycle Run benefiting Laborers’ CARE. This year’s event kicked off in May 2008. In years past there have been over 100 riders and non riders who have attended this exciting event.
